Fire Rated Blocks
Ventilation within buildings can contravene British Standards when holes are cut into fire doors and
compartment walls. A low cost solution comes in the form of an ‘Intumescent Block’ made up of an
intumescent ‘Honeycomb’ construction they offer up to 1 hour protection whilst still allowing a high
degree of free air flow during normal working conditions. We carry a wide range of standard sizes for
immediate despatch, special sizes including circular are available upon request. Our ex stock range
have a standard 60 minutes fire rating a 120min version are available on request. By design the
dampers offer low maintenance having no moving parts.

VGRI - Intumescent Air Transfer Vents
	When installing ventilation or air conditioning ductwork or simply cutting holes for ventilation within compartment walls/doors the integrity of the building must be retained. Fire blocks offer a low maintenance, low cost answer to this application giving up to 60 minutes integrity in accordance to BS 476 parts 20:22 together with giving excellent free flow of air during normal use. They have no moving parts hence need no regular maintenance apart from inspection to ensure they have not been damaged. They are concealed behind neat covers (see Cover plates) which give protection against damage. (SAA Covers to suit are 32mm larger in both dimensions to fully cover hole).

VCOV - Quality Steel Covers in SAA Finish
	These high quality covers are constructed from steel which are pre-coated for rust prevention then painted to achieve an excellent SAA finish. They are supplied approximately 40mm over the opening size to allow for fitting. Available in a choice of colours to order, contact our sales department for further details. For actual size add 40mm to bothwidth and height.
